KONYA DAILY TOUR
- CATALHOYUK NEOLITHIC SITE
Çatalhöyük, located near Küçükköy in the Çumra district of Konya, is an archaeological site that was used as a settlement in the Neolithic and Copper Ages, dating back to 7000 BC.Çatalhöyük, identified as one of the oldest settlements dating back to the Neolithic Period, sheds light on human history with its unique artifacts and religious artifacts, including the earliest domestic architecture, the earliest landscape paintings, and major contemporary cults. Located in the Çumra district of Konya province, Çatalhöyük was discovered in 1958.
-MEVLANA MUSEUM
The Mevlana Museum, located in Konya and housed in a building complex formerly home to Rumi, has been operating since 1926. It is also known as the "Mevlana Tomb."
The Green Dome, or Mevlana's tomb, is built on four thick columns (elephant feet). Since then, the structure has been expanded with various additions at various dates. The fact that some Ottoman sultans were members of the Mevlevi order has ensured that the tomb has received special attention and been well preserved.
-KARATAY MUSEUM (Stone And Tile Art Masterpieces)
The Karatay Madrasa, now used as the Konya Tile Works Museum, was built in 1251 by Emir Celâleddin Karatay during the reign of Seljuk Sultan ?zzeddin Keykâvus II. The madrasa's interior is covered with mosaics and plate tiles. It is believed that its architect was Muhammed bin Havlan. The madrasa, part of the "Closed Courtyard Madrasa" group, was designed to teach hadith and tafsir during the Seljuk period. The main walls were made of stone, and the dome and vaults were constructed of brick. It was constructed of Sille stone.
